I was born in Casper Wyoming and have established deep roots in the Converse County Region, living, working and raising a family in the Converse County area my entire life. I have been married to my high school sweet heart, Sheri, for 35 years. We have two children who are married and raising their families in the Douglas area. They have blessed us with two grandchildren and, we are happy to have another on the way!

My experience as a local business owner includes Blackburn Cattle Co Inc., a trucking company, 307 Disposal LLC, a waste collection company in Converse and surrounding areas, 307 Homestead Properties LLC, efficiency apartments, and Blackburn Properties LLC.

I’ve worked my way up to Maintenance Director at the North Antelope Rochelle Coal Mine, where I began as an apprentice electrician in 1990. From that time, when I made $6.00 an hour, I’ve seen, felt and struggled with the impacts the current government has on our community. Our industries have become blighted. Our youth have been forgotten and our way of life is in jeopardy.
